Glow from Within: What Are Skin Boosters & Polynucleotides?

When it comes to radiant, healthy skin, it’s not just about what you put on the surface — it’s about what’s happening underneath. That’s where Skin Boosters and Polynucleotides come in.

Both treatments are designed to improve the quality of your skin from within, but they work in slightly different ways — and both offer beautiful, natural-looking results.

Skin Boosters

Skin boosters are injectable treatments made with hyaluronic acid (HA) — a substance naturally found in the body that deeply hydrates and plumps the skin. Think of it like a long-lasting drink of water for your skin. Skin boosters improve elasticity, glow, and overall smoothness, making them ideal for dry, tired, or dull skin.

Perfect for:

  • Boosting hydration

  • Smoothing fine lines

  • Creating a fresh, dewy glow

  • Pre-event skin refresh

Polynucleotides

Polynucleotides go one step further. These clever molecules are derived from DNA fragments that help regenerate and repair the skin at a cellular level. Rather than simply hydrating, they stimulate collagen and elastin production, calm inflammation, and strengthen the skin barrier — giving long-term results that improve with time.

Perfect for:

  • Reducing acne scars and redness

  • Strengthening and healing sensitive or damaged skin

  • Improving texture, tone, and fine lines

  • Slowing signs of ageing from within

Whether you’re looking for an instant glow or long-term skin health, there’s a treatment to suit your skin’s needs.

FAQs: Skin Boosters vs Polynucleotides

Do they hurt?

Both treatments involve tiny injections, but a numbing cream is applied beforehand to keep you comfortable throughout.

How many sessions do I need?

  • Skin Boosters: It is recommended to have 3 sessions spaced 4 weeks apart. Then you may need 1 maintenance session every 6 months to keep up the great results.

  • Polynucleotides: Usually a course of 2-3 (sometimes 4) sessions depending on your skin’s needs. Then you may need 1-2 maintenance sessions every 12 months to continue to see improvements.

How soon will I see results?

  • Skin Boosters: You’ll notice a radiant glow within a few days, with the full effect developing over 1–2 weeks.

  • Polynucleotides: Results appear gradually over several weeks and can take up to 3 months as your skin regenerates — think long-term skin health.

Can I wear makeup after the treatment?

It’s best to avoid makeup for the first 24 hours and follow your aftercare instructions carefully to maximise results.
